I have been an art teacher since August 2013. This page is dedicated to giving the art work of some of my students some exposure as artists.
PETER MAFFEY
Every artist has their own set of strengths and style. Peter has an exceptional visual imagination and is masterful at composition. These works are entirely from his imagination. He had no reference photos whatsoever. He recently advanced in his awareness and progressive mastery of art principles such as atmospheric perspective, and out of this came a much higher level of work which I’m proud to exhibit for him here.

MARGARET ADDICOTT-WHYTE
Margaret joined my class as a complete beginner and completely lacking confidence in her ability to do art. Margaret, however, was an experimenter and this allowed her to play at art, to explore, to find the silliness and the whimsy in art.

LINDA KANDELL
Linda joined my class as a beginner in painting but it became quickly clear she had good drawing skills and a great mind for painting processes. Linda could replicate complex works by others but of course could not display or sell replicated works without breaching the artists’ copyright. At the same time she struggled with ideas for her own compositions. I introduced the students to different art style challenges and after helping them get to grips with each genre and its processes would remove the images so there was nothing to directly replicate. Out of this came a number of whimsical works that included the following folk art works:
and this more surreal, mythical anthropomorphic creature evocative of works by artists like Mirka Mora and Chagall.
contact me if you’d like to make Linda an offer on any of her works.
